The Lost Boys Of Sudan Collage

Think Creatively!

I crumpled up my paper and tore some of the ends to represent their difficult, messy life story . I also glued in a hand reaching for a “Help” ,and an airplane flying over a sign that says “Hope”. I made the collage a bit messy to represent the ‘Lost Boy’s” step migration and their life which was all over the place, not knowing what is going to come next.

Reason Critically!

The plane flying over the “Hope” sign represents going to America where they wished to find a better life. The war and destruction pictures are supposed to be intense , moving people’s hearts and making them o want to help . The woman crying is representing the sufferance from loss of family and home.

Communicate Effectively!

The collage has a messy and torn up look ,which is representing the Boy’s life both in the camp , and America. In the camp, they didn’t have the best conditions ,and that is why the collage is crumpled and torn up, and in America, they’re life was all over the place and they were moving everywhere, trying new things and jobs everyday, which are represent by the way the pictures are arranged and close together on the paper.

Live Ethically!

The hand in the collage reaching for the “Help” sign creates tension in the audience because the way the hand is shown is with desperation . Also, the selection of war and destruction pictures are intense picture which really provoke empathy . Also, the little kid creates empathy in audience heart’s because he is just a little kid suffering from poverty and despair. It all incites them to want to help ,because most of the pictures and text are very intense.
